Today is a beautiful, rainy Easter Day. The elders in our zone played a joke on us, so several of us thought the time was supposed to change and got up at 5:00. After Sister Krommenhoek called the police to see if we were supposed to change the time and found out we weren't, we went back to bed until 6:00.

I went with Sis. Ricks to her 7:00 a.m. meeting—I mean I went to the Amanda Knight Hall with her. Then I found out that my district was having a proselyting class with Brother Campbell, so I was glad I came. Sis. Ricks and I went back to the Warnick House to get my triple combination that I hadn't brought with me. Now the brethren are in priesthood class.

I had a very strong temptation this morning to break one of the mission rules. As Sis. Ricks and I came this morning I saw something for me on the table under the stairway. I opened the note from Hal, and he indicated that there was a tape from Steve for me to listen to with that tape recorder. Hal would come later to pick up the tape recorder. I knew that the rule said tape recorders were not supposed to be used for personal letters. There were no qualifications or simplifications—it was very clearly stated. It was such a sore temptation for me to listen to it, for how I want to hear from Stephen. In my interview with Sis. Bruder Wolferts this afternoon, I mentioned the temptation, and he reassured me
