This has been a very full day so far - in more ways than one. I have been full of things to do and very full of emotions. This morning was so busy as I tried to get everything put away that I'd be leaving for 18 months. I put a lot of stuff in boxes after I finished the temple apron for Elaine. I was just sorry I couldn't do both of them. Jeanine helped me get a sewing kit ready. And others helped me do other things. I got my money straightened out with Daddy. Daddy gave me a beautiful father's blessing before we left at 12:10 to pick up Sally. LaRae was already in Salt Lake trying out for the Mormon Youth Symphony. I registered at the new home at 75 East North Temple at about 1:10 (between my 12:30 to 1:30 limit). I got my packet and took my things up to my room. I am in Room 202 with 13 other sisters.

I still feel strange - like it's happening to someone else and not me. But it does feel wonderful to have all the preparation behind me and to finally and actually be here. The lights will go out soon, so I must continue tomorrow.
