We had a special message from the First Presidency by Pres. Tanner. It was great to hear from him. Then we had A. Theodore Tuttle and Marion G. Romney. Nowhere else but General Conference would we get to hear more General Authorities. It's been a real privilege.
I haven't had a chance to write any letters. I received one from Lynette yesterday. I have started a few thank-you notes.
Later - I'm at the LTM now. I love it and feel right at home! My companion is Schwester Ricks, my bus companion from pageant (Dianne)! It's so wonderful to be with her again and especially to have her for my companion. I'm going to love it here. The spirit is so beautiful. I feel more at home here than I did at the mission home. My companion has already been living her language for some time, so I may as well start right in. I'll be living in the Warnick House, a block southeast of the Amanda Knight Hall. We went up to the Bookstore to buy necessary supplies. Our district consists of eight elders and me. Our acting district leader is Elder Campbell. We've got some great guys in our district. They welcomed us and challenged us to reach our three goals - learn the language, learn the discussions, and become a disciple of Christ. I think we all have the potential to meet these goals.
We walked back down to the Amanda Knight Hall for dinner. We eat our meals there with several other zones -
